HOW ADHD JUNCTION WORKS

Privacy and formalities

How we handle information, the limits of this website, and the standards behind what we publish.

01

Privacy

ADHD Junction respects your privacy and aims to collect as little personal information as reasonably possible.

Information you give us

If you contact ADHD Junction, we may receive information such as your name, email address and anything you choose to include in your message. We use this information only to respond to your enquiry, deal with any related follow-up, and maintain appropriate records where necessary. Messages about clinical or editorial content may also be read by Neill Hughes.

If you ask to be notified when the provider comparison launches, we use your email address only to send that one notification.

Please do not send medical records or detailed sensitive health information through our general contact facility.

Website information

We may use aggregated, privacy-friendly website analytics to understand how people use ADHD Junction and which information is most useful. This information is not used by us to identify individual visitors.

How long we keep information

Contact information is kept only for as long as reasonably necessary to deal with the enquiry and any appropriate follow-up or record-keeping. Provider-comparison notification addresses are kept until the launch notification has been sent and then removed from that notification list. Our form-processing service may retain a submission for a limited period so that delivery can be checked and genuine messages can be recovered.

Sharing information

We do not sell personal information. Messages submitted through the contact form are processed by Basin and delivered to ADHD Junction by email. Cloudflare Turnstile may process limited technical information to distinguish genuine visitors from automated spam. Other service providers may handle information where this is necessary to operate the website or communications systems.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, UK data-protection law may give you rights over personal information we hold about you, including rights to access, correct or request deletion of that information.

For privacy enquiries, contact us here.

You can also raise concerns about the handling of personal information with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.

This notice will be updated if ADHD Junction introduces services that require us to collect or use personal information in different ways.

Disclaimer

ADHD Junction provides independent information intended to help people understand ADHD, assessment routes and related practical issues.

The information on this website is general information, not individual medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Reading ADHD Junction, using its tools or contacting us does not create a clinician–patient relationship.

Assessment and treatment decisions should be made with appropriately qualified healthcare professionals who can consider your individual circumstances.

We make reasonable efforts to ensure that information is accurate and current, but healthcare pathways, eligibility criteria, waiting times, provider arrangements, prices, regulations and guidance can change. Where a decision matters, check the current position with the relevant provider, NHS service, regulator or professional.

Right to Choose and some other NHS arrangements discussed on ADHD Junction apply specifically to England. Different arrangements may operate elsewhere in the UK.

Links to external websites are provided to help readers find useful information. A link does not necessarily constitute an endorsement of the organisation, service or every statement on the linked website.

ADHD Junction does not guarantee that any particular provider, assessment, diagnosis, treatment or course of action will be suitable for an individual.

03

Contact

Questions, corrections and suggestions are welcome.

Corrections

If you have spotted information that appears inaccurate, outdated or unclear, please tell us. We take corrections seriously and will review material where appropriate.

Open the contact form

For privacy or accessibility enquiries, you can use the same form.

Please do not send detailed medical records or other highly sensitive personal information by ordinary email. ADHD Junction cannot provide emergency or individual medical care.

04

Accessibility

ADHD Junction aims to make its information clear and usable by as many people as possible.

We consider accessibility when designing pages, navigation, typography and content, and we will continue improving the site as it develops.

If something on ADHD Junction is difficult for you to access or use, please use the contact form and tell us what you were trying to access. Where reasonably possible, we will provide the information in a more accessible form or address the problem.

05

ADHD Junction is independent

ADHD Junction does not provide assessments and has no commercial incentive to persuade you to book one. It is designed to help you understand what you have noticed, consider the possible explanations and routes, and make a more informed decision about what happens next. Assessment may be useful for some people. For others, a different conversation, adjustment or form of support may be the better first step.
